Stop Starvation By Building soils – Let Women Farmers Lead The Way

Worldwide hunger is in extremes 842 million people,12 percent of the global population were unable to meet their dietary requirements and the number is growing each year.Improving soils and growing mineral filled foods is the key to end starvation and malnutrition. Teaching these methods of growing especially here in the United States with diabetes heart disease at a pinnacle.
The world is in the eleventh hour to change the way we farm or else we will have mass populations dying of starvation and diseased from lack of proper food.We can stop starvation in its tracks by teaching one village at a time how to properly amend soils and grow organic heirloom food.

Worldwide Women’s Vision

Worldwide farmers and ranchers use 180 million tons of nitrogen fertilizer every year, much of which eventually runs into our precious groundwater, ponds, lakes waterways and oceans, causing red tides, algae blooms that kill aquatic life and cause pollution. Sustainable farming methods could eliminate over fertilization farming using microbes that build organic matter minerals and life back into the soil. Replacing vital naturally occurring microflora that is which are lost due to over farmed soils, increasing productivity by breaking down organic matter and creating nitrogen. Excessive and indiscriminate use of synthetic chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides destroys the natural ecosystem in soil. Overuse of these chemicals results in the sterilization of ecological elements that are vital to plant health. Without these elements present in the soil your plants are dependent on you to provide what can no longer be found there naturally.

As the balance returns, healthier soil grows healthier plants. This creates better yield, and plants less prone to pests, fungus and disease.

Over a billion women worldwide live on a dollar a day or less — and women make up a majority of the world’s poorest citizens. Women face unique economic barriers in developing countries, such as unequal property rights, low wages, bad working conditions, and lack of access to credit.
When women are poor, families and communities cannot be strong. Women living in poverty face greater challenges in earning a steady income, feeding their children, and escaping violence.

“February 28, 2012, the “Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index” (WEAI), was launched at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. The WEAI is the first ever measure to directly capture women’s empowerment and inclusion levels in the agricultural sector. Women play a critical role in agricultural growth in developing countries. Yet they face persistent obstacles and economic constraints, limiting further inclusion in the sector”.

Worldwide Women’s Vision is created to open the doors for women worldwide to empower them to become independent and viable farmers and business women. Worldwide Women’s Vision also intends to contribute to the efforts of the international community by teaching women how to farm by growing local sustainable crops, marketing crops grown locally, selling products designed for agriculture, distributing products via farm to farm and networking. All managed and employed by women. Creating models for business and repeating this model in each 150 mile radius to sell produce repeating this model in each designated area worldwide.

The market for fresh or processed organic agricultural produce experienced spectacular growth with a worldwide turnover estimated at US$ 50 billion and a growth rate of nearly 30% per year. We believe this model can be duplicated worldwide helping women and children by creating farming and business.

VISION, BACKGROUND, ISSUES AND OBJECTIVES

This program is for women worldwide implementing a vision that not only creates development of income generating activities in rural areas is likely to ensure sustainable access of populations to basic services covered by the UN Worldwide Women Vision (WWV).

In developing countries women lead superior to men in farming. Many women are barred from owning land or business limiting them to income and credit leading to poverty.

“In areas where men migrate to cities to look for work, the proportion of female headed farms and households is growing rapidly. This is contributing to what has been described as both “the feminization of agriculture” and “the feminization of poverty”

WWV goal is to empower women by training and teaching best farming practices for sustainable growing while building business and commerce in each region. It aims to promote sustainable economic growth in undeveloped areas based on reconciling the strategic objectives of national development (wealth creation, food security, and fight against unemployment, improving living conditions of population.

WWV’s purpose and goal is to empower women by creating new business, building trade, by building business development and education in each region of operation.  WWV is created to be managed and employed by women.

The United States and Europe are the main producers of organic produce and sustainable growing, but also importers of organic and natural agricultural products in the world. The turnover of organic products in the U.S. is USD 24,8 billion against 18 billion Euros for Europe, with Germany, France and England as European market leaders. Let woman lead the way in producing sustainable and trading local organic and sustainable produce.

Sustainable and Organic Growing

We will promote farm inputs to reinforce food security across the globe and alleviate poverty and empower women and girls in rural areas:For women farmers already using chemical fertilizers, Worldwide Women’s Vision will provide them with high quality methods limiting the quantities of synthetic fertilizers they use. The local countries fertilizing budget will also be reduced up to 65%. This objective will be achieved with support from organic and sustainable growers and will help reduce deforestation from farm extensions, pollution to groundwater, while creating rich fertile soils worldwide.

For the majority of women farmers who have never used chemical fertilizer in their farm, Worldwide Women’s Vision will promote the use of sustainable fertilizers. Based on respect of women and nature, organic farming is distinguished by its mode of production without using synthetic chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc …) and without the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Sustainable, organic and natural inputs used as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides are manufactured by Green World Path to boost the production of women farmers and distributors.

The markets worldwide continue to demand more organic produce despite the economic turbulence.” The greatest share of the global organic surface area is in Oceania (34.7 percent), followed by Europe (23.4 percent) and Latin America (23 percent). With its vast grazing lands, Australia continues to account for the largest certified organic surface area, with 12 million hectares, followed by Argentina (4 million hectares), and China (1.9 million hectares). The global market for organic products reached a value of over 50 billion U.S. Dollars in 2008, with the vast majority of products consumed in North America and Europe.

Objective Summary

Women’s World Vision goal is to empower women by training and teaching best farming practices for sustainable economic growth in undeveloped areas based on reconciling the strategic objectives of national development (wealth creation, food security, and fight against unemployment, improving living conditions of populations.) Women’s Worldwide Vision empowers women and girls by creating trade, business development and education. This program is for woman to utilize worldwide, implementing a vision that not only creates development of income generating activities in rural areas, but produces a real opportunity for building income and business. The growth forecast for organic and sustainable farming is very promising future for woman, assisting them into a viable business model. Food security is a real issue this vision addresses the issue at large. We are focusing on women worldwide in all countries that address agricultural based areas providing them knowledge to increase farming plus protocol.Building sustainable soils, commerce, and trade with woman farmers while creating business opportunities and jobs to the female residents of the country and region. Using this model worldwide to enhance the lives of women and empowering them to create food, income, credit and a business.

Women farmers worldwide are seeking ways to improve their harvest yields, crop quality, and plant uniformity. Additionally they seek to save water, reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, and improve their largest investment, their family and farm. The application of liquid organic fertilizer on crops worldwide is environmentally friendly and a safer, more effective alternative to chemical fertilizer.

The purpose of sustainable agriculture is to develop farming systems that are productive, profitable, conserve energy, are environmentally sound, create healthy mineral packed produce, creating nitrogen natural by using microbes, conserve natural resources, which that ensure food safety and quality. Unfortunately the use of conventional chemical fertilizers over the long term has had adverse affect to the health of the soil by depleting it of organic matter, nutrients and by reducing the overall biological activity. Depletion of beneficial microbial activity leads to less pathogen resistance which results in more plant disease and crop decline.

Women Farmers Will Have An Opportunity:

  • Creating high yielding crops filled with highly mineral filled produce.
  • Creating business and commerce by farming,
  • Locally employing workers or create new business
  • Grow and sell organic food,
  • Distribute products to farmers and growers
  • Feeding their children nutritious food
  • Building their future
  • Creating nontoxic non hazardous ways of farming while stopping pollution.
  • Distribute and sell produce and Green World Path products to other farms regions.

Build Soils that will:

  • Improve soil microbiology and nutrient absorption
  • Accelerate root development
  • Increase root structure
  • Maximize crop yield and density
  • Improvement in overall soil ecology
  • Decreased transplant shock
  • Extended post-harvest longevity

Home Grown Tomatoes

Select a sunny spot for the tomato plants. As you select an area for planting, dig deep and

plant really deep, – dig the hole deep enough to bury the tomato plant stem just below the lowest set of leaves. Water plants once a day, every day; the best time is in the morning.

water the same amount, evenly. Tomatoes do their best when work the root systems (The right amount of watering amount depends on how well the soil drains.–Home grown tomatoes need to be well watered, but should never stay wet.) Over watering tomatoes will result in fungus,

cracking , blossom drop and other disease.

Tomatoes grow best in loamy soils (sand clay and organic matter) blending soils are easy by working in 2 to 3 inches of compost, peat moss, or other forms of organic matter in the top 6 to 9 inches of soil. Also a good mixing ratio for container gardens – organic potting mix, peat moss, perlite and sand in equal parts.

Building a defense in the garden is important. One way is feeding the plant proper nutrients so the plant may be able to defend itself using it’s own natural pheromones, keeping invasive insects away, while attracting pollinating insects.

Feeding tomato plants regularly: tomatoes thrive using hydrolyzed fish emulsion; feed often with this organic plant food, apply 4 oz weekly. Feed during the first 40-50 days or so then stop.

Throughout the entire season add, 6-8 oz of blend of microflora, carbohydrates and proteins (molasses fish and bone meal at least once a week with teaspoon of

epsom salts, for sweet tasting tomatoes. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon calcium around the base of the plant for best results in growing before the plant shows blossoms.

Use garlic infused oil for a good natural repellent for extra insurance, keeping insects at bay. Check the underside of leaves for insect larva, and remove gently. Apply 2-4 oz as a regular feed of Eco to control fungus, and build the plants phyto defense system.

There are about 7,500 tomato cultivars varieties – including heirloom and hybrid varieties – naming some: Bush, Big Beef, Early Girl, Sun Master, and Black Russian. From first seed

planting it usually takes 65 days maturity until harvesting.

Rotate crops. Avoid planting tomatoes, potatoes, or peppers in the same location for 3-4 years.

This will help to keep tomatoes from fungus that can wipe out the entire garden.

Many tomato varieties suited for zone 7- 10 are indeterminate, meaning; they keep growing, some reaching 8, 10, even 12-15 feet tall; vine variety type of tomato plant. Plants that are determinate reach about 4-5 feet tall and stop growing, (bush varieties for an example).

When planting indeterminate varieties, plan on providing a good trellis/support/stake system.

Cage the plants as they grow. This step is crucial to growing giant homegrown tomatoes. The tomato plant is going to need extra support to hold up heavy tomatoes. The support will help the plant from vines snapping or laying in the dirt.As tomato plants start to bloom (small yellow flowers), trim off about half or 1/3 the blossoms.

This will increase the size of tomatoes.
